Keeping you informed

As details of our special day continue to emerge, we thought we would keep you all (y'all) informed. Here you can also find answers to some common questions some of you have been asking!

We understand destination weddings don't come cheap, so you're welcome to come in whatever you feel best in. If you do find yourself in the mood to shop before your Provencal getaway, grab something Lavender to make the outfit pop! No tux's or black tie's necessary; nobody takes life that seriously down here! Look sharp, look elegant, but being there with us is most important so don't stress about your dress!

We are hoping for the best with the weather, but being October, it would be advisable to bring some warmer clothing as it could get chilly at night. To find out more about the weather this time of year, click here

SAY CHEESE!

While in l’Isle sur la Sorgue, you will have all your wine, cheese, and charcuterie dreams fulfilled when you visit Chez Stephane on Rue de la Republic. The shop acts as both a tasting room where you can grab a board of bread, cheese and charcuterie from the counter to enjoy while tasting local vintages, as well as a shop for you to take items away for the Wednesday picnic, or to enjoy at your home away from home. Mention you’re here for Scott and Ryan’s wedding and he will be sure to look after you. He is supplying all the wines for the wedding after all!

Why come all this way to party for just 1 day?! Scott and I will be in Provence for the week, and while some of that time will be spent getting everything organised for the big event, we also foresee the party being more of a 2-3 day affair at Le Petit Hopital.

WEDNESDAY Oct 9th: Potluck Picnic from 13:00 @ Le Petit Hopital. Head into town, grab some wine (those in l'Isle s/ la Sorgue from Chez Stephane), cheese, charcuterie, rotisserie chicken and whatever else looks good and join us under the plane trees.

THURSDAY Oct 10th: The BIG event- Ceremony at 15:00 (arrivals from 13:30) @ Le Petit Hopital. Join us while we renew our vows in our favourite place in the world. Champagne reception, dinner & dancing to follow.

FRIDAY October 11th: Rotisserie Lunch @ Le Petit Hopital. Bruno will be throwing some local Porcelet on the spit over wood fire to enjoy with the remaining bottles of local wine and spirits. Awesome and embarrassing photos to be discussed and moments relived. Did I really do that?!

Cause one day just isn't enough

WEDDING WEEK

GettyImages-518337347-576826223df78ca6e4

We've been together quite a while

with all our pots and pans

And as we don't need homely gifts

we have another plan!

We know it's not traditional

and not the way it's done

But rather than a wedding list

we'd love a bit of sun.

So if you'd like to give a gift

and send us on our way

A donation to our honeymoon

would really make our day!

GIFTING

We will be welcoming Bruno to Le Petit Hopital for two days of Rotisserie goodness. After decades working in the professional restaurant industry, Bruno began his own business cooking local and regional products of the Luberon Valley. He is one of the only people in the region to cook over a wood-fire rotisserie which gives his food a unique smoky characteristic; pairing his creations with a selection of delicious homemade sauces. Bring your appetites and get ready to feast.
