Not far from Gordes you’ll find this “Little Colorado”, complete with scenic red ochre and rocks.  Walk up into the city through the art shops and stop into one of the restaurants with terraces overlooking the city.  Parking may be easier to find at the bottom of the hill, if you’re willing to make the walk up into the city it’s worth it.  Though this is one of the most beautiful cities in France, there isn’t enough to do here for a full day, so tack this on to a visit to Gordes for a terrific day out.
